Infrastructure migration

Move your hostingto Belarus

We move websites, applications and databases from AWS, VPS abroad and old servers to a Belarusian provider. The copy is prepared and tested in advance, the switch happens at a quiet time, and the old server stays on until the new one works properly.

Why move

Why companies move

This is not legal advice. Check with a lawyer whether Decree No. 60 applies to you.

  • Decree No. 60 requirements

Companies and sole proprietors selling goods and services in Belarus over the internet must host their website in Belarus and register it with BelGIE. This covers not only online shops but also corporate sites with request forms.

  • Pay in BYN under a contract

A Belarusian provider invoices under a contract with paperwork for your accountant. No foreign card needed, and the amount does not depend on the exchange rate.

  • Closer to users, clearer bills

A server in Belarus answers Belarusian users faster, and a fixed plan brings no surprises for traffic or forgotten cloud resources.

What we move

We move the site along with everything around it

  • Sites on WordPress, 1C-Bitrix and Drupal
  • Applications in Docker and Kubernetes
  • PostgreSQL, Redis and ClickHouse databases
  • Queues and integrations: Kafka, APIs, webhooks
  • Domains, DNS and SSL certificates
  • CI/CD, monitoring and backups

How the move works

Five steps, each with a way back

  1. 01

    Inventory

We map what runs where: servers, databases, domains, certificates, integrations and access. We find what everyone forgot about.

  2. 02

    Plan and cutover window

We size the plan to the real load, set the order of the move and pick a cutover time when traffic is lowest. We prepare a rollback plan.

  3. 03

    Copy and check

We deploy a copy on the new server, move the data and test it on a staging domain before the cutover.

  4. 04

    Cutover

We lower DNS TTLs in advance, sync the latest data changes and switch traffic. The old server keeps running until the new one is verified.

  5. 05

    Watch and hand over

We watch metrics and errors after the move, set up backups with tested restores and hand over documentation and access.

Cost

What the price of a move depends on

We name the price after the inventory, before work starts. It depends mostly on:

  • How many sites, services and databases
  • Whether there are queues, integrations and background jobs
  • How important it is to switch with no break at all
  • Whether to tidy up along the way: update versions, set up backups and monitoring

Questions

What people ask before moving

Will the site go down during the move?

We plan the move so there is no downtime, or only minutes of it: the copy is deployed in advance, DNS records get a short TTL and the latest data is synced right before the cutover. The old server keeps running until the new one is verified.

Do we have to move to HiTex?

No. We move you to any provider in Belarus, including the one you already use. HiTex is our hosting partner, and we suggest it when it fits the task and the budget.

Who does Decree No. 60 apply to?

The requirement to host a website in Belarus and register it with BelGIE applies to companies and sole proprietors selling goods, work or services in Belarus over the internet, and not only to online shops. Check with a lawyer whether it applies to you.

How much does the move cost?

It depends on what we move: a single CMS site and a platform with databases and queues are different amounts of work. We start with the inventory and name the price and timeline after it, before any work begins.

What if something goes wrong?

Every step has a way back: the old server stays on until the new one is verified, the DNS switch can be rolled back, and backups are taken before work starts.

Let’s start with a conversation about your system

Tell us briefly about the task and what you have already tried. The first step is a technical audit, not a development contract.

What happens next

  1. 1
    You send a request

A few lines about the task and a contact for the reply: here, on Telegram or by email.

  2. 2
    A call with the engineer

We go through the task, the constraints and what you have tried.

  3. 3
    Audit and plan

A report with findings, priorities and an estimate for the next step.
